Power Vinyasa Yoga – Intermediate Level Class
An introductory level class for Power Yoga that is ideal for beginners who want to try a more challenging practice. This is a Vinyasa class, (Vinyasa translates as flow with breath), with more emphasis on toning, focusing and weight loss. In this class students will learn the foundation of power vinyasa yoga practice, the 2 variations ot the sun salutations in depth focusing on the right alignment. Making it the perfect program for the absolute beginner or the experience student.
What is Vinyasa Yoga?
The word 'Vinyasa' can be translated as 'arranging something in a special way,' like yoga poses for example. In Vinyasa yoga classes, students coordinate movement with breath to flow from one pose to the next. Ashtanga, Baptiste Yoga, Jivamukti, Power Yoga, and Prana Flow could all be considered Vinyasa yoga. Vinyasa is also the term used to describe a specific sequence of poses (Chaturanga to Upward-Facing Dog to Downward-Facing Dog) commonly used throughout a Vinyasa class.
